Can you play with fire? I bet you would back out!

Have a peek at the world of firefighters as depicted in Rescue Me and you would fall in love with guts of a firefighter and the nobleness of the profession. I love this show for its mature depiction of life and struggle of a firefighter. I am still awed by this TV show. I cannot stop admiring Rescue Me. I would love to express my feelings about Rescue Me by using first episode of season 1. Remember its name. I bet only a true lover of this TV show can still remember its name. Add me to the long list of cult fan following of Rescue Me as I know the name of its first episode, it is “Guts.” Aha! I won. Ask me any trivia about Rescue Me and I would successfully answer about ninety percent of the questions.

Here is a brief snapshot from where Rescue Me took off. Tommy, the main protagonist and my favorite character in this TV show is trying to restore calmness and balance to his routine life. He ends up separating with his wife and starts to live in a house nearby her wife’s residence to keep in touch with his beloved siblings. He struggles to cope up with sad memories of loosing his beloved ones in terrorist attack of September 11. He is also annoyed at her wife indulgence in affairs with a whole variety of men. The whole community of firefighters is suffering due to emotional wounds inflicted by September 11.

So much drama, emotion and touching moments were part of first episode of Rescue Me. How could anyone resist such a grand piece of entertainment? If you are still unexposed to world of Rescue Me than please expose yourself right now as you are missing something that is out of the world.

Hi everyone! We have known Mike Lombardi to be a brilliant actor, as we have seen him perform on the super hit series, Rescue Me. However, I am sure that most of you must be unaware of the musical talent possessed by the handsome actor. And now, Mike has announced his decision to take his hard-rock band Apache Stone not only to the stage, but also to the show, Rescue Me.

The band is supposed to make an appearance in the third last episode of the current season, which is Season 5, when it will perform two songs on stage. However, the band members will be introduced in the show, as early as the fifth episode. Each of the band members will have a minor role and the story arc will eventually lead up to the formation of the band, on Rescue Me, under the leadership of Lombardi, who portrays the character of Mike Silletti.

Mike is the founder, lead singer and chief songwriter for Apache Stone. The other members of the band are bassist David Leatherwood, drummer Mark Greenberg and guitarists Nick Bacon and Hank Woods. According to Mike, Apache Stone is largely influenced by the heavy rock of the 90’s and it is real rock n’ roll music instead of being the usual cookie-cutter music.

The band has also started off with a tour, on the 8^th of May, which will cover various cities across America, and the tour is supposed to go on till the mid of June. So for all you hard rock fans out there, given below is the schedule of the performances! Hey friends! While we are all enjoying Season 5 of our favorite comedy drama, Rescue Me, there is more good news that has just come to my notice. Seemingly, we fans have been spared the need to worry about the future of Rescue Me for the next few years as the show is still a hot favorite of the network. Now if you have not already understood, let me tell you that even before the premiere of  Season 5, the FX Network announced that it would be bringing back the series for another season.

In keeping with the same, the network has ordered an eighteen episode pickup for season 6, which will be aired sometime in 2010.  As for Season 5, it started on April 7 and with the season containing twenty two episodes, the season is supposed to end sometime in the first week of September. Seemingly, the executives at FX have liked the episodes of Season 5, to such an extent that they have immediately ordered another brand new season of Rescue Me. I am sure that all you fans of this wonderful show are as overjoyed as I am with this fantastic news.

Rescue Me has been off the air since Season 4 finished airing in September 2007. The show did not return in 2008 and it has been a long grueling wait for fans who have been eagerly waiting the return of the show to their TV screens. During this period fans have many times been wrongly informed about the cancellation of the show, which disappointed them more than once. But now that FX has officially announced that Rescue Me is here to stay, I am sure that all the rumors have been put to rest.  The leading man of the show, Dennis Leary whom we know as Tommy Gavin, has also taken the responsibility of promoting the upcoming season by launching, The Rescue Me Comedy Tour, which will take Leary and his co-stars Adam Ferrara and Lenny Clarke on a tour of eleven cities. The proceeds from the same will be donated to The Leary Firefighters Foundation.

Hey friends! So the Rescue Me team is back to fighting fires and much more. As this exceptionally long season tries to unfold the mysteries behind the tragic conspiracy that we have come to know as The 9/11 Conspiracy, we will not only revisit the memories of the fateful day but the show will also take us to the spot where the Twin Towers of the World Trade Centre once stood.

Reportedly, two episodes of the current season that is Season 5 of Rescue Me have been shot at ground zero which gives many viewers an opportunity to have a look at the spot where the disaster occurred. I am sure that many of you must not have seen the place after the terrorists attack on the towers in 2001. Many of you might have painful memories of the tragedy and might get nostalgic. Well, I can surely relate to your pain as I also lost one of my close friends in the attacks.

But anyways, coming back to the show Rescue Me, it has been reported that the crew shot the scenes amid the restoration work that was taking place at the site. The said episodes will feature the development of the restoration work besides the discussion of how the towers will be remembered. Rescue Me has been associated with the 9/11 attacks since its premiere and with Season 5, focusing on the conspiracies behind the tragedy, it is sure to strengthen the bond that it has created with the audiences.

As reported earlier on this site, Season 5, was rumored to explore the 9/11 conspiracy theories and now it has been proved to be true. The first few episodes of the season have already revealed that the focus will remain on investigations and uncovering the truth behind the disaster that led to loss of so many human lives not to mention the loss of property and invaluable information.

Well, let us hope that the Rescue Me team is able to find the answers that millions of Americans have been looking for while remembering the loved ones they lost in the tragedy. Also let each of us offer a silent prayer for hundreds who perished in this ghastly attack!

Hey everyone! Recently Denis Leary published his first book named Why We Suck: A Feel Good Guide to Staying Fat, Loud, Lazy and Stupid. The actor, who plays a bad-tempered and churlish firefighter on our favorite show Rescue Me, has also been a poet in his early life. Reportedly he was inspired into writing this book by his friends who told him that a good book always remained on somebody’s shelf and therefore ensured that the author was always remembered by such people. The cover of the book credits Denis as Dr. Denis Leary which in addition to being a reference to a popular joke of his stand-up special No Cure for Cancer in 1993 is also a legitimate title that was bestowed upon him by Emerson College. This new book from a brilliant actor has already created waves as it has something to offend just about everyone. Leary was also in the midst of a controversy due to some comments about autistic children in the book and reportedly had to apologize publicly for the same. So if you have yet to get a copy of the book for yourself, just grab it at you nearest bookstore.

The book that has a rough, snippy and comical edge to it is just like his role in Rescue Me. On the show, he convinces the audiences as a fractured New York firefighter who has to deal with an equally dysfunctional crew and family. The show has successfully completed its four seasons and the FX Network has already ordered a brand new season of 22 episodes which is to be aired sometime next year. Rescue Me started as a tribute to the courageous firefighters who lost their lives during the 9/11 tragedy in New York. It has now become one of the most popular series on television due to its mass appeal. The fact that it deals with a topic that revolves around a tragedy that affected the life of every American in one way or other has also been one of the major reasons behind its success. Now with the fifth season rumored to be dealing with the conspiracies behind the national tragedy, people are eagerly waiting for the return of this dark comedy into their living rooms!
