Hi everyone! We have known Mike Lombardi to be a brilliant actor, as we have seen him perform on the super hit series, Rescue Me. However, I am sure that most of you must be unaware of the musical talent possessed by the handsome actor. And now, Mike has announced his decision to take his hard-rock band Apache Stone not only to the stage, but also to the show, Rescue Me.

The band is supposed to make an appearance in the third last episode of the current season, which is Season 5, when it will perform two songs on stage. However, the band members will be introduced in the show, as early as the fifth episode. Each of the band members will have a minor role and the story arc will eventually lead up to the formation of the band, on Rescue Me, under the leadership of Lombardi, who portrays the character of Mike Silletti.

Mike is the founder, lead singer and chief songwriter for Apache Stone. The other members of the band are bassist David Leatherwood, drummer Mark Greenberg and guitarists Nick Bacon and Hank Woods. According to Mike, Apache Stone is largely influenced by the heavy rock of the 90’s and it is real rock n’ roll music instead of being the usual cookie-cutter music.

The band has also started off with a tour, on the 8^th of May, which will cover various cities across America, and the tour is supposed to go on till the mid of June. So for all you hard rock fans out there, given below is the schedule of the performances! Check out for the dates of the band’s performance, in a city near you and you can enjoy some really good rock music.

Hey friends! While we are all enjoying Season 5 of our favorite comedy drama, Rescue Me, there is more good news that has just come to my notice. Seemingly, we fans have been spared the need to worry about the future of Rescue Me for the next few years as the show is still a hot favorite of the network. Now if you have not already understood, let me tell you that even before the premiere of  Season 5, the FX Network announced that it would be bringing back the series for another season.

In keeping with the same, the network has ordered an eighteen episode pickup for season 6, which will be aired sometime in 2010.  As for Season 5, it started on April 7 and with the season containing twenty two episodes, the season is supposed to end sometime in the first week of September. Seemingly, the executives at FX have liked the episodes of Season 5, to such an extent that they have immediately ordered another brand new season of Rescue Me. I am sure that all you fans of this wonderful show are as overjoyed as I am with this fantastic news.

Rescue Me has been off the air since Season 4 finished airing in September 2007. The show did not return in 2008 and it has been a long grueling wait for fans who have been eagerly waiting the return of the show to their TV screens. During this period fans have many times been wrongly informed about the cancellation of the show, which disappointed them more than once. But now that FX has officially announced that Rescue Me is here to stay, I am sure that all the rumors have been put to rest.  The leading man of the show, Dennis Leary whom we know as Tommy Gavin, has also taken the responsibility of promoting the upcoming season by launching, The Rescue Me Comedy Tour, which will take Leary and his co-stars Adam Ferrara and Lenny Clarke on a tour of eleven cities. The proceeds from the same will be donated to The Leary Firefighters Foundation.

Hey everyone! Recently Denis Leary published his first book named Why We Suck: A Feel Good Guide to Staying Fat, Loud, Lazy and Stupid. The actor, who plays a bad-tempered and churlish firefighter on our favorite show Rescue Me, has also been a poet in his early life. Reportedly he was inspired into writing this book by his friends who told him that a good book always remained on somebody’s shelf and therefore ensured that the author was always remembered by such people. The cover of the book credits Denis as Dr. Denis Leary which in addition to being a reference to a popular joke of his stand-up special No Cure for Cancer in 1993 is also a legitimate title that was bestowed upon him by Emerson College. This new book from a brilliant actor has already created waves as it has something to offend just about everyone. Leary was also in the midst of a controversy due to some comments about autistic children in the book and reportedly had to apologize publicly for the same. So if you have yet to get a copy of the book for yourself, just grab it at you nearest bookstore.

The book that has a rough, snippy and comical edge to it is just like his role in Rescue Me. On the show, he convinces the audiences as a fractured New York firefighter who has to deal with an equally dysfunctional crew and family. The show has successfully completed its four seasons and the FX Network has already ordered a brand new season of 22 episodes which is to be aired sometime next year. Rescue Me started as a tribute to the courageous firefighters who lost their lives during the 9/11 tragedy in New York. It has now become one of the most popular series on television due to its mass appeal. The fact that it deals with a topic that revolves around a tragedy that affected the life of every American in one way or other has also been one of the major reasons behind its success. Now with the fifth season rumored to be dealing with the conspiracies behind the national tragedy, people are eagerly waiting for the return of this dark comedy into their living rooms!

Heard some latest scoop about the very cool firefighter show “Rescue me”, thought should share it with all of you. So the word spreading around is that Dennis Leary, has revealed that the NYC firefighters would be seen tackling 9/11 conspiracy theories in the next upcoming season.

You don’t believe it?? Ok then hear this out. Our Mr. ‘Chain Smoker’ Leary was at a book signing event in Los Angeles when he told this fan that 9/11 conspiracy theories would be the theme of their next season. The fan, then timidly asked for the actor’s opinion on the whether there should be a reinvestigation of the events after the ghastly tragedy [He must have behaved timid as Dennis Leary is infamous for his sarcasm filled very sharp comedy] and David easily escaped the actual question and replied something like this. Yes look at this.

“When asked by a hesitant fan as to whether or not the actor thought there should be a reinvestigation into the events leading up to and surrounding the 9/11 tragedy, Leary’s eyes lit up as he revealed that conspiracy and reinvestigation into 9/11 are, in fact, major plot lines in the first 10 episodes of Rescue Me season 5, set to premiere in April 2009 for a 22-episode run on FOX,” This is something that appeared in a weekly from Los Angeles and was reported by Erin Broadley.

Erin further writes “But when another fan pushed it too far and asked Leary’s personal opinion the actor and author was quick with his response. ‘You guys don’t want to get into that with me,’ Leary said, suddenly serious as he explained that he ‘knew several of the guys who had been there working to hold that building up.’ Leary then paused, politely changed the subject and returned to meeting fans.”

You listened to him??? He was evasive, no? Anyways, there is already some criticism steaming up against Erin’s story.

Well guys, the fourth season of the award winning series Rescue Me is to premiered on iTunes in United Kingdom. Fans can also check out the previous seasons of the series. The seasons were launched individually, starting with season one on 14^th October, season two on 21^st October and season three on 28^th October. Season four was launched on &th November. People are allowed to download all 52 episodes covering seasons one, two, three and four. Each episode is of 45 minutes duration as opposed to 60 minutes on FX network

The series which was a n instant hit in America, gives an insight into the everyday lives of a group of fire fighters in New York City. It looks at the ordeals faced by them in everyday life, specifically after the terrorist attacks on 11^th September 2001.. The show was widely appreciated for taking up the issues of depression, alcoholism, and death in a background of humor and drama. The show specifically concentrates on the life of Tommy Gravin who has visions about his dead colleagues. He is also suffering from the trauma of separation from his wife and kids. The show also looks into the lives of other firefighters from Tommy’s crew who are dealing with their own different problems. I am sure the show will be as successful in UK as it is over here. Yes guys Tatum is going to be back in Rescue Me. The actress plays the role of Maggie the show. She was arrested sometime back trying to buy drugs. However, the actress is now sober as she reportedly thanked the cops for preventing her in committing a big mistake. The best thing is that the creators of the show are really keen to have her back playing the role of Maggie. Tatum has reportedly said that she was despaired at the death of her dog due to which she was tempted to use drugs. But now that the chapter is closed, I think we should look forward to seeing her as we know her, the aggressive Maggie in Rescue Me.

I think you will all agree with me, if I say that Tatum is a wonderful actress and one of the strong points of the show. In my opinion she has done full justice to her character in the show. Playing the role of a smoker, drinker and an evil woman is not everybody’s cup of tea. She has actually made people feel pity for Sean her poor husband on the show. Although Sean loves her a lot, she is dating four men behind his back in addition to being addicted to pornography. It will be to look out for what new turn her relationship with Sean takes as well as the happenings in the lives of the other cast members in the fifth season.

Hello friends. Can you guess who will be making an appearance in the fifth season of Rescue Me. Well, let me tell you its going to be Michael J. Fox. Yes dears, the star from Spin City and the sweet and cute hero of Back to the Future. Isn’t it just wonderful? He will feature as a love interest of Janet and it is also reported that he will be playing a paralytic. Michael has reportedly said that the idea of playing the role of a paralytic seemed funny to him as he was just the opposite of it and could hardly remain still for even a second. Sounds like something to look forward in the next season which will be aired sometime in March 2009.

I think this is really good as the introduction of the veteran actor will definitely give boost to the already popular show. I don’t know about you people, but the show is definitely one of my favorites. The show gives an insight into the everyday life of the firefighters of not only New York but anywhere in the world. The twists and turns in the life of Tommy and Janet, the flirtiest nature of Franco, the stupid but loveable Sean, the scheming Sheila, all are my favorites as they add spice to the storyline. Unfortunately, the show has taken a long break due to the writers strike. But now that the show is returning with a fifth season, I think we can all look forward to a hot hot summer next year.
